Moto G5 Plus Cannot Upload System Update

I only got a new Moto G5 Plus a few days ago and am trying to become information technology set up correctly. I checked for arrangement updates and at that place was i bachelor so I downloaded information technology today and so tried to install it, but after rebooting automatically it just gives me a screen with an up pointer and a down arrow, a trivial showtime icon, a picture of Android laying on his back with the flap over his stomach open up, and then a bunch of numbers on the lesser of the screen similar "AP fastboot flash mode secure", "battery okay", a serial #, "connect USB data cable", "software status official" Etc. But when I tap on whatsoever of those items it simply sits there like the screen is frozen and does nada. Delight help considering I am non very techy. Give thanks you.

Lamentable. I guess I put this under the Moto G 5S area past mistake. Could ane of the moderators please switch this over to the right forum? Thanks.

Is information technology a brand new phone or 2d paw? Did you root or unlock it? If it'southward a brand new phone I'd recommend you to ask for a replacement.

Yes very similar to that picture, Javier. I have no idea how to root a phone but I bought it from B&H on sale on Cyber Monday, make new, unlocked. And so what do I tell them is wrong with information technology? Should I commutation it or try to just get a refund? I'm using mint Sim for my carrier. Would that bear upon information technology in any way?
This is our commencement smartphone, although I accept a couple of tablets I've been using earlier, only I didn't remember that smartphones would be that much different to operate or ready upwardly.

Hither I would take the phone to a Motorola official repair middle and use the warranty. Non sure how like shooting fish in a barrel this could be in your example.Also, you tin take a film of that screen to aid explaining what the trouble is.
Possibly @Golfdriver97 knows a meliorate and easier way to become your telephone exchanged.

Ok, thanks to both of you lot. B&H is in New York and I'm in California so I judge I'll have to call them about information technology tomorrow. I'd still like to know what that screenshot that you attached means or indicates, if you tin tell me Javier?

Update!!
I finally got all 3 updates downloaded last nighttime somehow. I had read online somewhere, (peradventure in these forums?) that one person couldn't get his security updates either until he took off the safety Edged case that he had on his G5 Plus. And then as a concluding resort, I removed the "Cimo heavy duty shock absorbing Protection cover" that I had bought from Amazon and put effectually the edges of my G5 Plus and and so surprisingly, my downloads started to go through, 😁 so I got the January, May, and August security updates one at a time last night. I couldn't see anything that was being blocked by the case only he had said that at that place was a hidden sensor at the pinnacle of G5 plus's that some cases may cake. So I promise this information will assistance someone else also that is having trouble getting their G5+ security upgrades.👍

It's possible that the case was a fleck too tight and was pressing the power and volume fundamental. I would endeavour a different case to avoid this problem.

Cheers. Actually I already purchased a Belk wallet type case from Amazon immediately after I got my Cimo case because the pictures of the Cimo they showed in the Amazon ad made me think that it covered the entire telephone because of the way they had the two halves of the Moto G5 Plus facing each other in their photo. Anyway I already put on the new wallet case as before long every bit the 3 security updates downloaded last night and really like information technology so far.
