PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

With one foot in the real world and the other in a charmed dimension of his own making, Amos Lee creates the rare kind of music that's emotionally raw yet touched with a certain magical quality. On his eighth album Dreamland, the Philadelphia-bornsinger/songwriter intimately documents his real-world struggles (alienation, anxiety, loneliness, despair), an outpouring born from deliberate and often painful self-examination. "For most of my life I've walked into rooms thinking, 'I don't belong here,'"says Lee. "I've come to the realization that I'm too comfortable as an isolated person, and I want to reach out more. This record came from questioning my connections to other people, to myself, to my past and to the future."

Multi-platinum artists Fitz and the Tantrums have quickly grown from independent upstarts to bonafide hitmakers. The LA-based band recently released their much-anticipated, fourth full length album "ALL THE FEELS," featuring singles "123456" and "I Just Wanna Shine." "ALL THE FEELS" follows the band's 2022 release "FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS," which spawned the group's biggest hit to date, "HandClap." The RIAA-certified 2x Platinum single has logged more than 400 million global streams, went top 5 on both the Hot AC and Alternative Radio charts, and also enjoyed major airplay across the country at Top 40. The band has brought the infectious energy of their live shows to the small screen, with nationally televised performances of "HandClap" on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," "Good Morning America," and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," NBC's "TODAY," "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,""America's Got Talent," and Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the syndicated "Ellen DeGeneres Show" among others. Fitz and the Tantrums' eponymous album followed their breakout major label debut, "MORE THAN JUST A DREAM," which featured back-to-back Platinum-certified, #1 AlternativeRadio singles in "The Walker" and "Out Of My League." Both singles also enjoyed Top 15 success at HotAC. The band has performed countless, sold out headlining shows and is always a standout at music festivals around the world, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and more.Fitz and the Tantrums are: Michael "Fitz" Fitzpatrick (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals), James King(saxophone, flute), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), Joseph Karnes (bass), and John Wicks (drums, percussion).

A fever dream in sonic form, St. Paul & The Broken Bones' new album The AlienCoast represents the most adventurous and original output yet from an ever-evolving musical powerhouse. In a profound shift for the Alabama-bred eight-piece—Paul Janeway (vocals), Jesse Phillips(bass), Browan Lollar (guitar), Kevin Leon (drums), Al Gamble (keyboards), Allen Branstetter (trumpet),Chad Fisher 2 (trombone), and Amari Ansari (saxophone)—the band's fourth full-length and first for ATORecords strays far from the time-bending soul of past work like their 2022 debut, arriving at a convergence of rock & roll, R&B, psychedelia and funk. At turns explosive, elegant, and unhinged, that sound makes for a majestic backdrop to St. Paul & The Broken Bones' visceral exploration of the strangest dimensions of the human psyche. Produced by Matt Ross-Spang, The Alien Coast is the first album St. Paul & The Broken Bones have ever recorded in their hometown of Birmingham. In creating the ultra-vivid dreamscape threaded throughout The Alien Coast, the band's chief lyricist drew inspiration from such disparate sources as Greek mythology, dystopian sci-fi, 17th century Italian sculpture, and colonial-period history books.

Trombone Shorty's Voodoo Threauxdown is a curated mini-festival, a history of New Orleans music and a vision of where that music is headed in the 21st century. "I want to share the music and the vibe of my city," Trombone Shorty says.

Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty got his start (and nickname) earlier than most: at four, he made his first appearance at Jazz Fest performing with Bo Diddley; at six, he was leading his own brass band; and by his teenage years, he was hired by Lenny Kravitz to join the band he assembled for his Electric Church World Tour. Shorty's proven he's more than just a horn player, though. Catch a gig, open the pages of theNew York TimesorVanity Fair, flip on any late-night TV show and you'll see an undeniable star with utterly magnetic charisma, a natural born showman who can command an audience with the best of them.

Since 2010, he's released four chart topping studio albums; toured with everyone from Jeff Beck to the Red Hot Chili Peppers; collaborated across genres with Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Mark Ronson, Foo Fighters, ZHU, Zac Brown, Normani, Ringo Starr, and countless more; played Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Newport Folk, Newport Jazz, and nearly every other major festival; performed four times at the GRAMMY Awards, five times at the White House, on dozens of TV shows, and at the star-studded Sesame Street Gala, where he was honored with his own Muppet; launched the Trombone Shorty Foundation to support youth music education; and received the prestigious Caldecott Honor for his first children's book.

The other artists on the Threauxdown--Tank and the Bangas, Big Freedia, Cyril Neville the Uptown Ruler, George Porter, Jr. and Dumpstaphunk playing the music of The Meters, and The Soul Rebels--are of the same mindset. Together, they represent different generations coming together to celebrate and advance the sounds of New Orleans in one jam-packed night of live music and collaboration. "These are people that I grew up listening to, people I came up with, and people who have been inspired by me and my band. It's the full package and an expression of what is unique and beautiful about New Orleans."

ZZ TOP a/k/a "That Little Ol' Band From Texas," lay undisputed claim to being the longest running major rock band with original personnel intact and, in 2004, the Texas trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Of course, there are only three of them – Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard -- but it's still a remarkable achievement that they're still very much together after almost 50 years of rock, blues, and boogie on the road and in the studio.  "Yeah," says Billy, guitarist extraordinaire, "we're the same three guys, bashing out the same three chords."  With the release of each of their albums the band has explored new ground in terms of both their sonic approach and the material they've recorded. ZZ TOP is the same but always changing.

ZZ TOP's music is always instantly recognizable, eminently powerful, profoundly soulful and 100% Texas American in derivation.  The band's support for the blues is unwavering both as interpreters of the music and preservers of its legacy.  It was ZZ TOP that celebrated "founding father" Muddy Waters by turning a piece of scrap timber than had fallen from his sharecropper's shack into a beautiful guitar, dubbed the "Muddywood."  This totem was sent on tour as a fundraising focus for The Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale, Mississippi, site of Robert Johnson's famed "Crossroads" encounter with the devil.  ZZ TOP's support and link to the blues remains as rock solid as the music they continue to play.  They have sold millions of records over the course of their career, have been officially designated as Heroes of The State of Texas, have been referenced in countless cartoons and sitcoms and are true rock icons but, against all odds, they're really just doing what they've always done.  They're real and they're surreal and they're ZZ TOP.

Buddy Guy:
The title of Buddy Guy's latest album says it all: The Blues Is Alive and Well. The legendary blues artist's eighteenth solo LP and follow-up to 2015's Born to Play Guitar showcases his raw and unadulterated sound, its fifteen tracks a true pleasure for aficionados and genre newcomers alike. "I got children and grandchildren who didn't know who I was, but nowadays we can play outdoor concerts and see kids that are eight, nine, twelve years old coming to me and saying, 'I didn't know who you was, but I read what Eric Clapton said about you,'" Guy explains when discussing his mindset around the new record. "I'm always trying to make an album that someone accidentally plays where some kid hears it, picks up a guitar, and helps keep the blues alive."

John Hiatt:
A master lyricist and satirical storyteller, John Hiatt delivers songs filled with tales of redemption, relationships and surrendering on his own terms. Hiatt's finest album is 1987's Bring the Family; other catalog highlights include the pop and rock of 1983's Riding with the King, the rough-hewn blues-rock of 2008's Same Old Man, and 2021's Leftover Feelings.  His lyrics and melodies have graced more than 20 studio albums, have been recorded by Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt and scores of others, and have earned him a place in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, a BMI Troubadour award, and a lifetime achievement in songwriting designation from the Americana Music Association.

America, the perennial classic-rock favorite, is continuing to celebrate its 50th Anniversary with their powerful performances. Founding members, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell (along with former band mate, the late Dan Peek) met in high school in London in the late 1960s and quickly harmonized their way to the top of the charts on the strength of their signature song "A Horse With No Name." America became a global household name and paved the way with an impressive string of hits following the success of their first #1 single. Forty plus years later, these friends are still making music together, touring the world and thrilling audiences with their timeless sound.

From their formative years, America has been a band capable of transcending borders with its uplifting music and positive message. Embracing a rainbow of divergent cultures, America's audiences continue to grow, comprising a loyal legion of first, second and third generation fans, all bearing testament to the group's enduring appeal. "I think that the ingredients of the America sound are the basic fundamentals that translate internationally," explains Beckley. "The Italians are huge fans of dance music, but they also love a ballad--they're romantic at heart. It's the same in the Far East. A lot of times in these countries, we see people singing along, and they don't really know what the words mean. Music is truly the international language."

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

A protégé of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo Sandoval was born in Artemisa, a small town in the outskirts of Havana, Cuba, on November 6, 1949, just two years after Gillespie became the first musician to bring Latin influences into American Jazz. Sandoval began studying classical trumpet at the age of twelve, but it didn't take him long to catch the excitement of the jazz world. He has since evolved into one of the world's most acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet and flugelhorn, as well as a renowned classical artist, pianist and composer.

He is one of the most dynamic and vivacious live performers of our time, and has been seen by millions at the Oscars, at the Grammy Awards, and the Billboard Awards.Arturo Sandoval reaches beyond the scope of mere effort. His struggles while in Cuba and since his defection have given him more energy and strength, urging him to accomplish and surpass his childhood dreams. Filled with a virtuoso capability, he desires nothing more than to share his gift with others who feel the same intense adoration for music as he does. One frequently speaks of Arturo Sandoval's virtuoso technical ability or his specialty in high notes, but he who has seen him on the piano, lyrically improvising a ballad, or has had the opportunity to enjoy the diversity of his music, through his compositions from the most straight ahead jazz, Latin jazz or classical, knows that Arturo Sandoval is a prominent musician, and one recognizes that Arturo is one of the most brilliant, multifaceted and renowned musicians of our time.
